Welcome to the new season

Welcome to the new season

We're excited to have you as part of our lineup.

We're excited to have you as part of our lineup.

We have sold out our last three events, and we have no intention of starting with one that doesn't. Please read this carefully to ensure we keep our momentum going strong.

We have sold out our last three events, and we have no intention of starting with one that doesn't. Please read this carefully to ensure we keep our momentum going strong.

What you can expect from us is our commitment to becoming Oslo's best promoter. Mediocrity or taking things lightly will never happen.

We are dedicated to providing a platform where you can showcase your talent and grow as an artist. You can expect robust promotion, flawless equipment and a sound engineer, professional event management, and a vibrant audience ready to experience your set.

By doing your best, you can also feel free to ask things of us in return. We want to help and understand how challenging promotion can be for a DJ—both at our events and yours.
At the bottom of this page, we've listed what we consider the minimum expectations. Please review them to ensure we're all on the same page.

This is what we expect from you as performers for us: give it your all, and together, let's send it.

Below is everything you need to know to prepare for the upcoming events.

Your images will be stored, so you only need to send the information once, unless you want to update your text or photos.

Our Mission

Our Mission

We're on a mission to discover the best DJs in our city—those with stage presence, adaptability, and the drive to achieve more. F2F strips it down to see who excels under pressure and has what it takes to go further. We can't be satisfied when our new local talent remains unknown abroad.

Oslo needs DJs with the whole package who can succeed internationally. Our goal with Fight Club/F2F is to help with that.

We will record the sets and film them, aiming for a quality that allows us to share on YouTube.

Setup

• You have two players each, connected to channel 1 and 2 on your mixer.

Channel 4 is the Cue channel, and should only be used to listen to what your opponent is playing through your headphones.

Planning and Collaboration

Before you play, agree on the following:
Order: Will you play 1-2 tracks each before switching, or take a more free approach?
BPM: Will you maintain a constant BPM, or change it along the way?
This depends on your chemistry and playing styles, but we recommend starting with 2 tracks each for better flow. At the same time, we encourage you to experiment and explore. We have had duels where (with good chemistry) tracks have been "thrown in" without any framework, and that has also worked well.

Tip: If you change BPM, it is recommended to use "Sync" to more easily keep track. This makes it easier to match tempo when verbal communication is not possible during the set.

A more creative set

F2F is not like a regular B2B set. The experience is different, and this allows for more creativity.

Be creative and play with contrasts: Try to create surprises and contrasts to elevate the mood, instead of focusing solely on technical "perfection."

Use Hot Cues and loop points actively to create exciting transitions and build up the energy in the set.

Intro Tracks

Each duel begins with each participant playing two tracks. You can decide who starts. We will receive the tracks well in advance. While your two tracks are playing, your name will be displayed on stage, accompanied by your own visuals.

This is an opportunity to introduce yourself to the audience. Choose bangers that set the tone and can contrast sharply with the rest of your track selection. Remember to fade out at the end of each set of two tracks.
